 SA TO THE GOVERNOR ON EMERGENCY RESPONSE MEETS WITH NIS COMPTROLLER ONDO STATE COMMAND IN SYMBOLIC MOVE

On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, Prince Oriade Wellington Adebawo, Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. A.W. Akinrinsola, Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Ondo State Command. The visit aimed to explore areas of cooperation between the Office of the SA to the Governor on Emergency Response and the NIS Ondo State Command.


The Comptroller, who was excited about the visit admitted that he had been eager for such a visit since assuming office earlier this year. While expressing his appreciation, he highlighted the potential benefits inherent in harnessing the resources available to the NIS Ondo State Command and the Office of the SA to the Governor on Emergency Response. He thereafter seized the opportunity to request for the aid of Prince Oriade Wellington Adebawo regarding the training and capacity building for his personnel on Emergency Response protocols.


At the end of the meeting, the Comptroller led Prince Adebawo and his team on a tour of the NIS facilities, including the passport processing section. The team observed that the NIS officials on duty were handling their tasks professionally and diligently as expected.


Prince Adebawo praised their efforts and assured them that the Governor of Ondo State is committed to making the state a safe haven for all. He emphasized the importance of interagency cooperation as being a key part of achieving this goal.


The courtesy visit was concluded by the Comptroller and his key officers taking group pictures with the SA to the Governor on Emergency Response and his team. It is hoped that this milestone event will usher in a new era of professional synergy between the Office of the SA to the Governor on Emergency Response and the NIS Ondo State Command. With all hands on deck, both parties aim to enhance emergency response, border security, and safety in Ondo State.
