 Gov Aiyedatiwa's Aide on Emergency Response, Hon. Wellington Adebawo Raises Alarm Over Ayede Ogbese Yuletide Festivities, Demands Strict Safety Measures.




The Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Emergency Response, Hon. (Prince) Wellington Oriade Adebawo has expressed concerns over the Ayede Ogbese 2024 Yuletide Festivities, emphasizing the need for stringent safety measures to prevent stampedes and ensure public safety.


The Ayede Ogbese Yuletide Festivities which is scheduled to hold on Monday December 23, 2024, will feature scholarship to orphans, youth empowerment, outreach to widows among others.


The Governor aide's concerns are rooted in recent incidents in Ibadan and Lagos, where stampedes resulted in loss of life and injuries. He stressed that his office must be well-informed about the safety guidelines and crowd control management put in place for the Ayede Ogbese festivities to avoid similar tragedies.


The Special Assistant also emphasized the importance of crowd control management, including the designation of entry and exit points, implementation of crowd control measures, and provision of adequate sanitation and hygiene facilities.


The office of the Special Assistant to the governor on emergency response has been working tirelessly to ensure that all public events in Ondo State meet the highest safety standards. He has been inspecting event venues, reviewing safety plans, and providing guidance to event organizers.


The Ayede Ogbese 2024 Yuletide Festivities are expected to attract thousands of attendees, and Hon. Adebawo's concerns are aimed at ensuring that the event is safe and enjoyable for all.


Earlier last week, event organizers were advised to work closely with Adebawo's office to ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations and it was stressed that failure to comply may result in the cancellation of the event or other penalties.
